Florida azalea is a deciduous shrub that is native to the lower southeastern United States. It grows up to 8-10 feet tall and wide, and has fragrant flowers that bloom in spring. The trumpet-shaped flowers are smaller and more delicate-looking than those of non-native azaleas. The plant prefers moist, well-drained, acidic soil and partial shade. It is also known as Rhododendron austrinum
