The Bevan’s Favorite Semi-Dwarf Apple is a deciduous fruit tree that bears small to medium-sized apples with flattened ends. The fruit has crisp, firm, juicy flesh with a sweet, rich, spicy flavor. It ripens in early to mid-season (typically late June/early July) and is ideal for fresh eating, desserts, baking, and frying. The Bevan’s Favorite apple tree is immune to apple scab and resistant to mildew, cedar rust, and fire blight. It was discovered near Salem, New Jersey, around 1842 and is also called Early Bevan, Striped June, or Bivins.
Rootstock: MM.111
Flowering group: 1*
*Flowering group indicates bloom period for cross-pollination. All the apple trees we carry will need cross pollination from another (different) apple tree. For best pollination, choose 2 or more trees that have the same Flowering group or an adjacent group. For example: Flowering group 3 tree can be pollinated by groups 2, 3 and 4
