Commonly known as Glory of the Snow for its early spring blooms, 'Blue Giant' is an enhanced form of C. forbesii. It features up to eight larger, star-shaped, six-petaled flowers in rich blue with bright white centers, perched atop dark stems with sparse, narrow foliage. Deer-resistant and easy to naturalize, it thrives in well-draining soil with full to partial sunlight. Over time, it spreads through bulb offsets and possibly self-sowing. 'Blue Giant' is perfect for mass planting in garden borders, sunny woodland edges, rock gardens, and as irregular, river-like drifts.
