The Liberty Semi-Dwarf Apple is a hybrid apple variety that is known for its high level of disease resistance. It is a cross between the McIntosh and Macoun apple varieties, and its stats are similar in description to those of the McIntosh apple. The fruit is medium to large in size, with a bright and shiny deep rosy red color. It is slightly tart and has a sweet and mildly tart flavor. The Liberty apple is perfect for fresh eating and baking, and it is a great choice for home growers. It is part of the low spray apple group, which means it has excellent disease-resistant properties, affording the grower a fruit tree that can be grown organically. The Liberty apple is one of the few fruit trees resistant to apple scab, fire blight, and cedar apple rust; the trifecta of apple diseases.
